A Tenant Habitability Plan, commonly known as “THP,” is required before a building plan can be approved by the city. The plan outlines the scope of the work and the projected dates when construction will take place and other information related to the soft story retrofit project.
As part of our comprehensive service, we handle the entire THP process. We will personally complete the THP forms and submit to the housing department. Your manager will only need to serve the tenants with the notice. Once the tenants receive this notice, they have the right to appeal the construction process within 15 days upon receipt. If the tenants choose to relocate, this should be done before the start of construction.
One Stop Retrofit has multiple financing programs for property owners to complete the soft story retrofit project.
